Gif and Jpeg are the two graphical formats universally acceptable to web
browsers. Gif is optimized for line art, cartoon art, and other images
that don't use shading or texture. Jpeg is optimized for complex images,
like photographs. I don't know if Pagemill has a gif-to-jpeg converter in
it, but if it doesn't, you can usually find freeware or shareware like
GifConverter over the web. The easiest way to do it is with a graphics
program like photoshop. Just open up the image and 'save as' either a gif
or a jpg, depending which one you want to use. Make sure you change the
name of the image to end in .gif or .jpg ; otherwise, web browsers won't
be able to read it..
