TECH: modem problem

Thanks to all who responded to my call for help with my new modem problem
on my MAC 5300.  I finally got it working!!!  Our one and only district
computer coordinator/techie/grant writer/jack-of-all-trades has been out
sick with the flu so I couldn't ask him.
