HIGH SCHOOL: Job sharing opportunity in Chicago area

Comrades:
        I am interested in going half time next year and job sharing with
another librarian.  I have checked with our supt. and our union pres.
(some contract language will have to be modified), and neither outright
turned me down.  Now, I need to see if anyone is interested in such a
position.
        My concept is that that person and I would each work half of the days
of the school year.  How these would be divided is unclear yet, but I
would like to work alternate months, quarters, 2 week blocks, various
blocks, etc.  There could be many possibilities.  We would each receive
half pay and benefits.
        The Evergreen Park High School Library has over 20,000 volumes
with an unsurpassed reference collection (including the Encyclopedia of
Art).  The library LAN has 10 work stations and is served by a 21 slot CD
tower.  There are also some stand-alone CD's.  Unfortunately, the only
Internet connection presently is in the librarian's office.  Hopefully,
that will change soon, but I am not holding my breath.  The staff
consists of one librarian and one secretary.  The current secretary is
wonderful--bright, quick to learn (she is working on her B.A.) and is
firmly committed to the library and its program.  The library is very
service-oriented and serves the whole school.
        The school itself is in the SW suburbs of Chicago. It has about
700 students and a Block 4 schedule.
        Let me know if you or someone you know might be interested.  That
way I will know if there is a market for this before I move forward from
this end.
