CALIF. ONLY - Money for libraries

Does anyone have any information re: AB 1587 Budget Act of 1997
Augmentations and Restorations which was to be signed by the governor on
October 12, 1997?  It would allocate $.95/ADA for grades 7-12 for libraries.
I finally got around to asking my principal about it and he knew nothing
about.  Neither does our district office.  Maybe I have the wrong number for
the bill.  Also, I just heard that AB 1571 just got signed which would allow
$2.64/ADA to grades 4-6 for libraries.  This is all one time money. The
district office told me to find out more and get back to them.  Barbara
Jeffus is the one I first heard this from.  I knew this group would have the
answer. Thanks.
