Pinching/St. Patrick's Day

I have been waiting to see if this is a "real" myth before sharing this
story.  Last year on St. Patrick's Day, my 10 year old daughter told me she
couldn't wait to go to school to pinch the kids who weren't wearing green.
I asked her where she had ever heard such a thing - from her older brother
of course.  His source was the Homer Simpson show.
