I am an elementary school librarian and this is my first attempt to request your help. I would like very much to be able to tell my students one of my favorite stories from my childhood. My grandmother used to read me a story that takes place in a clock shop. The main character is an old man named "Mr. Winky". All I really remember about the story are the customers who leave the shop saying, "Goodbye, Mr. Winky, Goodbye!" I have looked for this story for years. (About 30!) Any help in locating this story or book is very much appreciated. Thank you!
