QUERY: Biographies for Grades 1-5

Dear LM_NETers,

I would like to know which biography series anyone would recommend for
Grades 1-5. I'm also interested in knowing which publishers you think are
the most reputable in this area and perhaps, a brief list of famous people
that you may have just added to your own biography collection. For
instance, do I need to get bios on Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, Tiger
Woods, Tara Lipinski, etc.?  Are new books being published about historical
figures that we might have missed before?! I have been looking over the
lists and lists, but I could really use some guidance!

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
