Hi summer LM_NETers-- Again I am turning to you: Virginia has just put into effect state-wide academic standards called Standards of Learning. (SOLs) Students are tested on these in grades 3,5,8, and high school. A group of us high school librarians would like to note on the bibliographic record which SOL number certain material relates to. Although we have consulted with some experts, we want to be sure that it is done correctly so that we can spread the word and we will all have the same format. Have any of you already dealt with this? (either in Virginia or another state) What tag and subfields do you use? It must be searchable in Follett and other online catalog systems to be usable. I will post a HIT of answers. (all the same, I hope) TIA, Anne Anne Repp, Librarian Louisa County High School, VA 23117 arepp@pen.k12.va.us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST * NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
