Hello, my name is Judy Bianco and I have recently subscribed to LM_NET. This fall, I will begin my first year as a media specialist in a technology rich K-4 school. I will be responsibible for teaching library skills and study skills in grades. I am interested in finding out how library media specialists are using technology (computers, video, CD-ROMS, etc.)in their library media programs. My interest is especially at the K-4 level but applications from other levels will certainly be helpful. More specific questions: What types of technology (hardware & software) are available in your library media center? How is technology best used in library media centers? Does technology enhance teaching in the library media center? Does technology enhance learning in the library media center? How is technology affecting your role as a library media specialist? Are you involved in integrating technology and curriculum in your school? Any insight you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for sharing your experience and expertise.
