California School Librarian Job

Harbor Day School grades K-8 seeks an energetic, creative and flexible
school librarian to assume a wide range of professional responsibilities
in a independent school library setting.  The candidate should have an
MLS from ALA accredited school, or Library Media Services credential, 2
years of professional experience, knowledge of print, CD-ROM and online
reference sources, Internet searching and the ability to teach students,
ages 5-14.  Duties include cataloging, overseeing volunteers, budgeting,
purchasing, programs and collection development, reference assistance,
planning with teachers and teaching classes.

Starting date: September, 1998.
