GEN: Automation systems

Greetings,

After some of the discussion last week, I just want everyone to know how
pleased I am with my version of the Alexandria system by COMPanion
Corporation.  I'm using version 3.81 and am very pleased with the program.
It's very user friendly!  I have parent volunteers and grade 5 & 6 students
using the system to sign material in and out.  I'm also using Kid's Catalog
and the students love it.

COMPanion has developed two programs, one for Macintosh and one for
Windows.  These are two independent programs.  There have been some
problems with version 4 for the Macintosh.  (They released it too soon.
They are, however, correcting this.)

The Alexandria system is still the best system for the Macintosh platform.
