Re: Funds for Public Television (PBS) and Radio (NPR)

PLEASE do not forward this petition any more. Congress' threat against
public broadcasting ended some time ago, and the Corporation for for
Public Broadcasting is actually getting an _increase_ over the next
several years (please trust me, I work at CPB). Because this survey has
been lingering on the net for literally years, some of us in public
broadcasting are concerned that we in the industry are encouraging this
lobbying spam. Some folks, perhaps in congress, may take this the wrong
way, causing the whole effort to backfire.

So please, while I encourage you to tell your congressperson to support
public broadcasting, _please_ stop sending this letter over the Net,
especially over listservs.
