Flash Fire

       This book is written very much in the style of "Flight 116 is
down."  There is a whole bunch of stories running as people
experience the disaster.  By the end I could not put the book down
but in the beginning I had trouble keeping the various stories
straight (there are at least 10 of them.)  The book is quite a
powerfully emotional experience as people live through some of the
fires in California.  The characters are well developed.
       This 198 page book will be very popular for the kids who can
follow the various stories in the beginning.
