Re: Little Tree and Carter

Dear All - Our English department is not agreeing these days!  Some
would like to teach _The Education of Little Tree_ next year to
freshmen; some think that the the controversy that surrounds it makes
the book a bad choice.  Do any of you know of reviews (in journals)  in
support or against using it in the classroom, personal pros and cons, or
is it being used at your school successfully?  I would appreciate any
comments that I could pass along to help settle this dilemma.
