I, too, have kept my shelf list cards just on the chance I might need to
look up something.  However, I just had this same discussion with another
librarian in my District and he has not kept his.  When he asked me what
I would look up, I really didn't have a good answer.  I guess anything I
wanted to know I could find in the marc record.  I'd be interested to
hear the responses you receive.  If there is enough interest, please post
a HIT, or just forward the replies directly to me.  Thanks and good
