Ideas for Family unit

Hi Group!
Has anyone done any interesting projects in a Family unit for grades k-2?
I'm looking for games, art projects (other than draw a picture of your
family), activities tied to specific books(such as baking the cake in
Polacco's Thunder Cake: family recipes).
You're a dynamic group who always comes through with  the answers...
