Thank you all so much for the wonderful advice. It seems that APA does mention being able to use paragraph numbers for electronic text. I wonder, though, if this applies only to "web" articles (ONLY published on the web) or if it also applies to articles accessed electronically but also available from somewhere in print. I also received advice to call/write/contact APA and let them know of the confusion about this subject. The most feasible solution for this particular assignment/semester seems to be to count the paragraphs. Thanks again!!
