GEN: Readin Board Presentation

        A crisis tends to motivate me, so here I am attempting my first
posting and hoping for some great help.
        The teacher who coordinates the RIF program at one of my schools
called me in a panic today.  She had told the Director of Curriculum that
we were considering participating in the Readin on April 24.  (We meet
Friday to decide.)  The director called her this afternoon and asked us to
do a presentation on the Readin program this very next Monday night for the
Board of Education.  I've never done a presentation on doing something
we've not done before.  I told her I would solicit help from this group.
We can go to the Website for info about the program.  I think possibly what
we need is information from those who have participated in the past.  We
will gladly accept any words of wisdom.  Thanks for your help.  You can

        A little bit about this school.  Salter is a 3-5 school that
participates in the RIF program.  We are one of two schools in the District
that participates in RIF.  There are 10 elementaries.  We have participates
in RIF for many years, and we just got Internet connection in the last
year.  The district emphasis is on using technology to improve student
achievement.  Thanks again for any help.
