block scheduling and its impact on the LMC

Hi Friends!

This is my first attempt to communicate on a listserv.  I hope I can figure
out how to properly do this.  If I make mistakes - please tell me!

Our elementary school (Gr. 4-6) is considering going to block scheduling.
What are the advantages/disadvantages for the Library?  Wouldn't this prevent
children from coming to the library as they need?  We currently have a fixed
schedule and I have been trying to suggest flexible scheduling in the LMC.
This new angle - block scheduling - ?  Help!  Is this good or not good?  Is
anyone out there using it?  Thanks.
