Do you have any recommendations of a novel which takes place in Africa (present-day or past), written by an African writer or non-African writer? I need this for a list for 10th graders. So far, the only items I have are: Authors: Achebe, Nadine Gordimer Dorris Lessing's African Laughter Out of Africa The Bride Price by Buchi Emecheta Heart of Darkness I've already checked Best Books for Senior High; Against Borders; Our Friends, Our Family, Our World.
