I hope there's a tech guru out there that can help us! Our science department is planning a Coast to Coast investigation of the natural history of water in the United States, using the National Parks as their laboratory. They are trying to figure out a way to get Internet access on the bus so that students can research while traveling. Does anyone have any ideas of how this can be accomplished? We have discussed cellular phones, but that seems feasible only as a last resort. Is wireless technology available yet? Would satellite do it? Also -- failing live Internet access, what would be the most efficient and manageable way to download and distribute Internet information. We'll definitely be using Apple e-mates; what other equipment would you recommend assembling for a trip of this nature? Thanks -- This is a fascinating and ambitious project! I'll provide updates. -- Sandra Parks Harrisonburg High School 395 S.
