TECH: Really sick of Creative Writer

I've had it with Creative Writer. It was on all the lab computers when I
got there, but I don't like it at all. It's very non-standard in a lot of
ways, and although the kids have fun with it, it causes me tech problems,
lock-ups, etc. AND I'm thoroughly tired of the fart sound being played over
and over.

What's your fave software for making banners, cards, etc? Our students use
Creative Writer for this, especially during Science Fair. I want a program
that is more standard in terms of menus and procedures (like save and open)
and that gets the job done with less fooling around. I'm considering the
new Print Shop, Corel Print House, and a couple of others. Open to
suggestions.....
