A huge thank you to everyone who sent me suggestions for novels about Africa. Now, I need a list of novels about South America (any country). Any autobiography/memoir would be okay, too. This would be for 9th graders of mixed reading ability. I have found many which are about Central America and Mexico, but am having trouble with South American continent. What I have so far is: Isabel Allenda -- House of The Spirits Death in the Andes -- Llosa Of Love and Other Demons -- Marquez I think these books are possibly too "advanced". Any suggestions?
