Dear Readers, I'm interested in your opinion on this matter. Is it ethical for a librarian to work in the public sector & also act as a consultant for a private vendor that they do business with in their institution? It's no secret & this person blatantly states this with pride. This person is near retirement age, but has not yet done so. The person has also received more extensive training in their product line to serve as a trainer to those purchasing it. Thanks for your input. Yours, Eileen Spillane Library/Media Specialist Middletown Elementary Schools Middletown, RI spookys6@AOL.COM. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
