GEN: vcf attachments

Help!!  I am having trouble reading my attachments.  They are in a format
with a  .vcf extension and I have no clue as to what program they are for
and what real
role they play in the email.  Is this a "Mac" thing or what?  Windows95 doesn't
know what to do with it either.  Any help would be appreciated! Please
