Hello everyone, during a recent discussion about libraries (don't we all carry our jobs out to the world with us?), the topic of first libraries came up and I decided to do a little research about them ... except a little research didn't solve the problem ... I understand the first library school was established by our pal Dewey at Columbia ... I am looking for "first school" libraries (elem, middle, high, and university)... Anyone have any notions? Any sites to visit? Any of you have bronze plaques in front of your administration buildings proclaiming your library the first? Thank you very much...and aloha... I'm flattered you think some of what I said is worth repeating. </center> =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST * NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
