6th gr. read aloud (short)

Hello friends,
Next week I am accompanying our 6th graders on a 3 day/2 night field
trip.  I want to read them a story or stories around the campfire.  Any
one have any great ideas?  Nothing too scary please, we don't want
nightmares! TIA -
