A team of teachers here at my middle school would like to propose that the new computer lab (a second one)...be placed in my library....(there is room for it to be located elsewhere). My library is not a huge one and they would like to propose that the new computers be placed where study carols (sp?) already exist. I personally am very much opposed to such a idea. Maybe if my library were larger...but I'm not sure then either. I already have five computers in the library on the network...plus my public access terminals. The reason they want to do make way for a extra classroom that is needed. My question I pose to you is what reasons would you have for not wanting to place a computer lab in the library? Since I am small, I don't want the extra added confusion of dealing with a lab in addition to to running the library (I am a solo librarian)...I'm sure that you can give me lots of good ideas here to speak about when this is discussed THIS FRIDAY at a staff meeting. I appreciate any of your comments Ken Hawley, Librarian Central A & M Middle School 404 E.
