Grade 9&10 Banned Bk Discussion

Dear LM_NETTERS:

We plan to offer a short elective English course to a small group of 9th
and 10th graders on Banned Books focusing on the issue of censorship.  We
will be reading : The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath; One Flew Over the Cuckoo's
Nest by Ken Kesey; The Color Purple by Alice Walker. Part of the course
involves a discussion forum. We would like to have students in other high
schools who may be reading any of these books to join our discussion.
Please pass this information on to your English teachers and have them
contact me.

The course begins on April 14.
