Poetry & Dewey

I have been doing poetry with first and second grade.  The same question
has been raised in each class.  Why isn't poetry in the Easy or fiction
section instead of the information section since Silverstein and Prelutsky
poems are not true.  Anybody have a good answer I can tell these kids?
