Dear LM_Netters, I am currently working in a K-5 school library and have done much to make it the best possible LMC that I can. I am now faced with interviewing next week for the position of a high school LMS and I'm shaking in my shoes! I know that I would embrace this position with as much enthusiasm as I do at the elementary level but need your HELP to address issues at this level. Do you have any tips, pointers, philosophies to share with me? I have so-o-o-o many questions. You are such a great group- I thought I would turn to you for HELP! What are the top 5 CD-ROM programs you use most? What magazine databases do you use? Any web sites, prof. books/journals that shares philosophies, neat projects at this level? Do you sponsor reading challenges, book fairs, author visits at this level? Any special tips on discipline that has worked for you? What magazines do your kids/staff like best? Any neat Back-to-School nite ideas? I know you are all so very busy, but if you could spare a little time to share your thoughts about any of the above, I would be most appreciative. Thank you so much--I will be anxiously awaiting your responses! Y.
