As we approach the end of the year I am feeling quite frustrated. =
Students are getting antsy and now that we have Internet access in a lab =
setting I am finding many students wanting to spend all of their free =
time on the net - all of course stating they have a great deal of =
research to do.
We do not have a full time lab assistant so when random checks are done =
I find them in many locations - South Park, Simpsons, joke sites, etc. I =
have found several e-mails just lying by the printer with very =
inappropriate language and party plans. I do not know who the e-mails =
belonged to. This is all, of course, unacceptable according to our =
AUP. =20
What does everyone else do? Do you let some of this slide by? I feel =
like the old stereotypical librarian - constantly saying no, no, no - =
you can't do this. =20
