Interesting timing on this question for us. We just received our emergency
drill instructions last week. Some of you may have heard that our city has
been hit with a series of bombs found in libraries. The city library and
the state library were targeted last week. We're all a little on edge this
week and extra precautions have been taken.

Anyway, our plan also calls for keeping kids in the rooms in case of an
emergency. A general announcement will be made over the intercom and all
doors will be locked. Students who are in the halls should go into the
nearest classroom. Fortunately, my library has doors -- lots of them. I am
supposed to lock the doors and keep the kids here.
