When I taught my grade and middle school students Internet or network CD-ROM lessons, I used to make short videos starring my two library bears. They would introduce each lesson, and then I would videotape the computer monitor directly and demonstrate the lesson ( for example, how to do keyword search in SIRS Discoverer). When I played the videos, the picture jumped a little, but it was viewable. This year we have new workstations, and that method does not produce viewable videos. I even tried different refresh rates for monitor. So, I am looking for a method of video capture. We have projection units, but my instruction area is not the best for using them. Does anyone have experience in using video capture cards or Snappy? What's the difference between the regular and deluxe Snappy? My videocamera does not have jacks, so I want to be able to send the signal directly to a VCR. I have a video dubber, so I can add my bears later(the bears are essential, really).
