Perhaps the most important point about incorrect spelling, is that when
a word is misspelled in the subject line, it will not come up under the
correct spelling in a search of the archives.  For example, if I do an
archive search on plagiarism, I am NOT going to come up with some
possibly good suggestions that have been archived under plagerism or
plajiarism.

Since we are in the business of disseminating information, I think we
should at least try to be accurate.  Of course typos and mistakes will
happen, but I think that the suggestion of proofreading before you send
is a good one.

I really do not think that anyone is being priggish or holier than thou
- just trying to make things run as easily and smoothly as possible.
