SEC:BLOCK SCHEDULE LUNCH PERIODS

My principal asked me for information regarding block scheduling (AB
type) and 3 lunch periods.  Our student population next year will be
2900.  He would like to know how other schools with a similar student
population in grades 9-12 handle the lunch periods.  To accommodate 2900
we will have to have 3 lunch periods.  Is there anyway to do this
without having one class in session for 45 minutes, then go to lunch and
the come back to class for the remaining 45 minutes?  Please email
