LM_NET: Library Media Networking
Fellow Book Lovers:
Please help...Faith Ringold's book, Tar Beach, is being challenged in my
library. A parent doesn't like the word beer being included in the story.
I have never had a book challenged before and would welcome your guidance.
I am looking for past book reviews, the author's address, and other
challenges against Tar Beach and their outcomes. I did search the LM_NET
archives, but I wasn't very successful. I'm new at this.
Our Instructional Materials Committee meets on November 30th, so I am on a
strict timeline.
