TARGET: Transportation units

Our third group teachers have asked me for suggestions to make their unit on
transportation more interesting and different this year.  Does anyone have
any ideas?  They currently have each child choose a mode of transportation
and do a short report on it.  They would really like to try something
different to jazz it up.  They end the unit with a simulated flight to
France which is always a highlight.  Does anyone have any suggestions to
make the reports more interesting?
