Cataloging thanks

Thanks to the many individuals who responded to my question about the
difference between MARC tags 246 and 740 and the change enacted about
four years ago preferring the 246 field for alternate versions of
titles.  Your response was prompt and authoritative, and I truly
appreciate the willingness of so many of you to share your expertise.
