Gen: Thanks for the thread

Colleagues,
I must post to tell you what a delight this "Favorite books" thread has been
for me. I posted that I was wild for Robin McKinley's _Beauty_, and I got
personal responses from other people who enjoyed the book. It's been fun!
One woman told me of another book,  _Rose Daughter_, also by McKinley and
also a retelling of Beauty and the Beast! McKinley herself gave the whole
story another try 20 years after she wrote _Beauty_! So, I logged on to
Amazon.com and now have a copy of _Rose Daughter_ just in time for my bus
trip to NYC! I also was advised to try _Zel_ and _Magic Circle_ by Donna Jo
Napoli, both of which are also retellings of fairy tales (Rapunzel and Hansel
& Gretel). I ordered them from Amazon also-- all three were paperbacks and
cheap! I am just thrilled.

So, Thanks so much for this thread. It's been nostalgic, interesting, and
educational!
