Hello everyone,
I certainly hope all of you are enjoying the spring break ...

In my seemingly endless search to find permanent employment, I am hosting a
weekly radio talk show here on a local AM station beginning on Saturday (10
April) ... "Chips and Dips" ... targeting beginning and intermediate
computer users (all ages, including young students and retired people). It
is an hour long show (really only 40 minutes on the air) ... and all of you
know the subject of libraries won't be far from the surface at all times
(they are, after all, the only free publicly accessible Internet and
computer centers). Listeners will be encouraged to call and ask questions
that might be bothering them...

I am soliciting ideas any of you may have for this show connecting computers
to libraries and information gathering ...
I've had both Mac and PC experiences, so I think I can hold my own there ...
we'll be speaking of both, by the way, so if any of our Mac users have any
beginning and intermediate tips and hints, by all means, send them along...
I have a good list of about 12 ~ 16 items as topics to cover during the
show, but send along any you might have as well...
In a nutshell, my questions are these - if you were given an hour to speak
about computers, what would you talk about?
If a question period was also expected, what sorts of questions would you
prepare for?
How would one segue into libraries and info gathering without making it
plainly obvious or straying too far from the main topic of computers?

You may reply to this message or send your replies to CandD1230@aol.com ...
either one will work ...

Thanks in advance for all your assistance... keep your fingers crossed...

Aloha y'all ... Earl J.
