..I have been off LMNet for a month, so please excuse me if this has been discussed. (I will have house guests another 10 days so won't be reading LM, please answer to me.) I received the following message from a friend: "New VCR setting for 2000 Here is something I bet you hadn't thought would be an issue for Y2K. You won't be able to use the programmed recording feature. Do not throw away your VCR in the year 2000. Set it on 1972 because the days will be the same. Please pass this on because you know the manufacturer will not share this information. They will want you to buy a new one that is a Y2K compliant." ............ For those of you who are more tech savy than I am, do you think there is validity in this idea? If so, could I reset to 1971 now, so I don't have to remember 1972 on Dec. 31st? Thanks for any input.. -- ---------- Mary Croix Ludwick, MLS B.B.
