This thread has certainly been a trip down memory lane - and I'm getting a nifty list of books I've missed but shouldn't have! When I was little it was nearly impossible to convince me to read anything but fairy tales or animal stories. Anyone remember "Good-bye my Lady" by Street? How about "Smoky: a cowhorse"? Wish I could remember the name of the book about the horse who was the only U.S. survivor of Custer's Last Stand. I wonder why there are so few good cat stories? The fairy tales expanded into folklore and mythology, but Hans Christian Andersen is still my favorite. Keep smilin' Linda =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
