My school has an Apollo laminator purchased in 1992. I am told that it was never satisfactory. The company couldn't help me in any way, doesn't have any authorized repairmen. We have sent it to local repairman to be worked on, and attempted to adjust it according to the manual, but it still puts out an inferior wrinkled product, and stinks to high heaven to boot. It is definitely NOT user friendly. I have searched the LM_NET archives and found that GBC laminators are recommended. I also saw USI and Laminex, and Xyron mentioned. I contacted GBC and was faxed some information about their laminator. Can anyone supply me with e-mail, websites, or phone numbers for USI, LAMINEX, and XYRON or other good laminator manufacturers? Does anyone have any recommendations about the Apollo laminator? I used to think that it could surely be regulated, but I am beginning to think that it is a lost cause.
