Technical Sony Mavica FD 91

Hello,
        Does anyone have information about, or experience with, the
Sony Mavica FD 91 digital camera that he/she would be
willing to share with me?  I'm interested particularly in
information about the resolution and clarity of close range
images.  Also, what color printers would you recommend to
produce optimum results?  What about additional lenses?
        I have used an earlier model of the Sony Mavica and the
images were a little grainy (may have been the printer that
was at fault), for what was needed.  For, example, the local
paper returned news items that used digital images but would
accept images from an inexpensive Polaroid camera.
        The other projected use is for close-ups of insects,
flowers, and other science related images.
