Tech Video

Hi
I am looking for software and/or hardware to put together a video of mixed
media such as pictures, music and video scenes.  We have Studio 400 which
does a good job of editing video but when I add a lot of digital pictures
and music it becomes choppy.  I am wondering if there is something
available to edit the video and incorporate picts and music as well.
