Books for ESOL Students

Two friends of mine have just started teaching in a corporate school in
China.  They asked me if I could recommend a list books written in English
that would be good to recommend to ESOL students in Grades K-12 who come from
many different countries and speak many different languages.  Does anyone
have any suggestions or know of a good source for locating appropriate
titles?  Would very much appreciate suggestions.
