Distance learning

I know that many of you can probably help me.  Our assistant superintendent
is looking for information on exactly how distance learning with satellite
dishes works, particularly in real time.  What I need is not "yes, we like
it," but I'm interested in specifics about what equipment you need, etc.
This is planned for our new tech center/library, and we have the desire but
not the knowledge.  If anyone is willing to share that information off the
list I'd be grateful.  TIA!
