Information Power & Speech to Text

I have two questions that are totally unrelated.  The first is about
speech to text software.  Our system is looking into purchasing it.
We know that some of the older versions have not been reliable and
since it will be used in our special ed. dept. we need a good
product.  If you have any knowledge that you would be willing to
share I would certainly appreciate it.  Also if you have any idea of
price that would be helpful.

The second question concerns the new "Information Power".  If anyone
has a copy of it could you either fax me (256-233-6617) or e-mail me
what standards it sets for administrative time vs. instructional time
for media specialist.  The elementary librarians in our system have
very little administrative time and we are hoping this will have some
guidelines in it that we could present to administrators to get them
to re-evaluate.  Any help in these two matters would be much
appreciated.
