GEN: Moving a media center

A year from now we will be settled (?) in a new school and a new media
center.   I'm interested in gathering people's tips, experiences etc about
moving.

Background:   We've been  weeding furiously for two years--books, AV
equipment, even computers.  Our current facility is old and we will not be
moving any furniture-.  We do not have an elevator in our current facility.
The district will not be hiring outside staff to assist so we will be
relying on ourselves and volunteers.      I'm not concerned about moving
the books; that will be the easy part.  And, we probably will only move a
few magazines.    We probably will start to close down our multiple labs
and media center May 1 and get students involved in packing whatever.

What I am concerned  about is the  250+    computers to move,    lots of AV
stuff, distance learning equipment etc etc etc etc , the organizational end
of things, logistics etc.      So... . . . . any tips will be greatly
appreciated.
